I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
